Taskix Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refunds

1. Which contract this policy applies to

1.1 On Taskix the works contract is between you and the professional whose quote you accept; the professional is the trader for that supply (C30.1, PRO-04). This policy states your withdrawal and cancellation rights against that professional and how to exercise them through the platform.

1.2 Where the Operator itself charges you a platform fee shown separately on the order summary (C04.3), this policy applies to that fee in the same way, with the Operator as trader.

1.3 The quote screen shows, before you accept, the cancellation and deposit terms of the quote. Those terms apply in addition to, never instead of, the statutory rights below.

2. Statutory withdrawal and refunds

2.1 Right of withdrawal. As a consumer you may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 calendar days from the day of conclusion (services and digital content) or from the day you receive the goods, without giving any reason, by sending an unambiguous statement to support@taskix.net or by using the model form published at /legal/withdrawal-form. Refunds are made within 14 days of receipt of your withdrawal using the original payment method.

2.2 Services started during the period. If you ask the professional to start the work during the withdrawal period and later withdraw, you pay a proportionate amount for the work performed up to the date of withdrawal.

2.3 Digital content not on a tangible medium. Where you expressly request immediate delivery of digital content (including AI outputs, reports, model access, generated media) and acknowledge that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, the right of withdrawal does not apply once delivery has begun. This request and acknowledgment are collected through a separate unticked control at checkout and recorded under C03.

2.4 Excluded contracts. The right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation, transport, catering or leisure services with a specific date or period of performance, to goods made to your specification, or to other contracts excluded by Article 103 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. Where such an exclusion applies, the provider's cancellation policy shown at booking applies instead.

2.5 Legal guarantees. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory guarantees for conformity of digital content, digital services and goods.

3. How withdrawal works on a works order

3.1 Work not started. If you withdraw before the professional has started, you receive a full refund of any deposit paid, within 14 days, by the original payment method. A visit or diagnostic fee that was disclosed on the quote and already performed is not refunded.

3.2 Work started at your request. The quote-acceptance screen contains a separate unticked control: "I ask the professional to start before the 14-day period ends and understand that if I withdraw I pay for the work performed until then." If you tick it and later withdraw, the professional invoices the proportionate amount for work performed and materials already installed, and refunds the balance of any deposit within 14 days.

3.3 Work completed. Once the work is fully performed with your prior express request and acknowledgment, the right of withdrawal has ended. Your conformity rights (clause 5) remain.

3.4 Materials made to your specification. Materials cut, mixed or manufactured to your specification are excluded from withdrawal once ordered; the quote identifies such items before you accept.

3.5 Emergency call-outs. An emergency surcharge disclosed on the quote and performed at your request is charged for the attendance performed; the right of withdrawal applies to any further work not yet started.

4. Contractual cancellation (in addition to statutory rights)

4.1 The quote states the professional's cancellation rule (notice period and any cancellation charge) for cancellations after the 14-day period or where withdrawal is excluded. A cancellation charge may not exceed the professional's reasonable loss and is never applied where the professional cancels or fails to attend.

4.2 If the professional cancels, does not attend the agreed slot without notice, or cannot lawfully perform the work (for example a licence has lapsed), you receive a full refund of any deposit within 14 days and may ask the Operator to re-match the job without a new platform fee.

5. Conformity and defects

5.1 Work that does not conform to the quote or to the professional standard required by law entitles you to repair, price reduction or, where the defect is material, termination, under Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. Report a defect through the job page or support@taskix.net; the professional responds within 5 business days.

5.2 Workmanship disputes are first referred to the complaints route (clause 7) and, if unresolved, to the competent consumer or court route; the professional's insurance details are available on request (C30.3).

6. How to withdraw or cancel

6.1 Use the Withdraw / cancel control on the job page, email support@taskix.net, or send the model form at /legal/withdrawal-form to the professional's contact shown on the order. Give the order reference; do not send card details.

6.2 The platform records the statement with date and time, notifies the professional, confirms receipt to you by email and tracks the refund deadline.

6.3 Refunds are made by the professional (or by the Operator for its own fee) by the original payment method through the payment provider, within 14 days of the withdrawal statement, unless you expressly agree another method.

7. Complaints and out-of-court resolution

7.1 Complaints may be sent to support@taskix.net or submitted through /legal/complaints. The Operator acknowledges within 2 business days and answers within 15 business days (one calendar month maximum under Spanish customer-service rules).

7.2 Consumers resident in Spain may use the consumer arbitration system (Sistema Arbitral de Consumo) or the consumer mediation services of their autonomous community. The The The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform has been discontinued and is not used.

7.3 Nothing in this clause prevents you from bringing a claim in court.

8. Model withdrawal form

To: the professional named on my order (sent through support@taskix.net or the contact shown on the order)

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the service identified by order reference: ________

Ordered on: ________

Name of consumer: ________

Address of consumer: ________

Date: ________

Signature (only if this form is sent on paper): ________

9. Business customers

9.1 A business customer has no statutory withdrawal right. Cancellation of a business works order follows the quote's cancellation rule and, for Operator services, the Business Service Terms (CUS-03).

10. Governing law and forum

This policy is governed by Spanish law. You also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of the country where you reside. Disputes are heard by the courts of your domicile; the Operator may bring proceedings in your domicile.
